Some gummy selections

All great examples of the creative kosher candy possible with kosher gelatin.

For Chanukah... no Latke Crisps... another sign of economic woes

A tighter economy and tight financing mean that all sorts of marketplace changes will be happening. Relatively new and even popular products may go by the wayside even if they have a unique connection to kosher or to traditional Jewish taste or holiday. For Chanukah, a holiday of eight days, there has been regular creativity of new food ideas. A few years ago, a company introduced Maccabeans jelly beans playing on the Maccabee theme of this season. They are no longer around.

Now comes news that Latke Crisps - the delightfully flavored bags of "latke chips" has ceased production. Its manufacture http://www.thoushallsnack.com/ had 3 flavors that were great additions for any Chanukah party. They were available in Original, Sour Cream & Onion, and Zesty Veggie.

Finally getting back to business of blogging!

After a long interuption, we are back to blogging. The business of kosher candy is booming. Now that kosher gelatin is readily available and international commerce in candy is increasingly happening, there is an abundance of chewy stuff that is kosher with all sorts of flavors and shapes. This works for children of all ages and for all events. Over the next few weeks, some of these new selections will be added to SimchaSweets.com.

All of these products, many new to the kosher consumer are strictly certified as kosher.
